Maximum 6 guest plus the skippers
Four to six people plus the Skipper, that means heaps of space for everybody on a 42ft Catamaran with more then 80 sqm of Deck-area. Our Yacht offers also enough storage for your luggage.

Who sails with us?
Joint Sailing cruises with Bali-Cat are possible for ALL people: Singles, couples, families or groups! If you want to join a cruise please ask friends & colleagues if they might join or just come with alone or with your family. Also mixed crews of individuals & singles could have a lot of fun when sailing or on land excursions and result often in new friendships which meet again as a crew next year!

Do I need any sailing experience?
No, you don’t have to be a Sailing-crack, but should be able to help &asist the Crew wherever it’s possible. Everybody will get his or her position according to the skills and ability. You can get your first sailing experience, or build on past experience to gain more sailing knowledge and skills. We provide a full safety briefing and boat-familiarization at the start of your cruise. We have an extensive library of sailing books and resources on board, for your reference and use.
For total novices, we will "show you the ropes" and ensure you are involved in operating the boat (setting sails, steering, navigating etc), as much or as little as you wish. You will have a true adventure, and leave with great memories and hopefully a growing passion for sailing!

Cruiseplan
Our vision at Bali-Cat is to make every charter a wonderful, memorable, adventurous and safe experience for each of our guest. We don’t view you as just a passenger but rather as our guest or friend onboard. Your charter provides you with the opportunity to do as much or as little as you like when it comes to the sailing and handling the boat you can either sail yourself, we can teach you to sail, or you can just sit back, relax and let us do the work for you. At all times, safety is our top priority. Between departure harbour and destination there are, beautiful Bays with great anchorage and small restaurants, shopping facilities and local highlights. If we stay another day at a wonderful anchorage or sail on to the next piece of paradise will be decided by the crew & the guest on the spot and as per weather conditions.

What to bring
You should bring Towels & Beach-Towels and also Sailing- or sport shoes with white bottom so there will be no dark marks on the white deck. We have some Mask & snorkels, but not of high quality and you ´might want to bring your own snorkel-equipment.
Bedsheets, blankets & Cushion are on board. Heavy Sailing-cloth and rubber-boots are not necessary. Please don’t bring any Suitcases or voluminous luggage! Better are soft travel-bags or backpacks. Please don’t bring too much! The experience shows that most guest even don’t need 50% of the stuff.

Live o Board
Ob board of Bali-Cat you can get your first sailing experience, or build on past experience to gain more sailing knowledge and skills. We provide a full safety briefing and boat-familiarization at the start of your charter. We have an extensive library of sailing books and resources on board, for your reference and use.
For total novices, we will "show you the ropes" and ensure you are involved in operating the boat (setting sails, steering, navigating etc), as much or as little as you wish. Depending on your level of ability and confidence, you can choose to sail with full or partial mentorship from our skipper/crew. In a day or overnight charter, you will have a true adventure, and leave with great memories and hopefully a growing passion for sailing! The beam of more then 25ft guaranties a very smooth sailing-comfort and the stability and lack of heel kept the going comfortable, even for those whose stomachs were not made of reinforced concrete.
In all years of charter-cruises of "Shangri La" we always had a wonderful atmosphere and great harmony on board!

Active-Holiday Sailing
That mans Sailing, swimming, snorkel, land excursions, but also a lot of time to relax, sunbathing, sleeping and regenerate. Set up the table, cooking, doing the dishes, cut the salad, shopping on the market and everything else will be done together or random.

Board Cashbox
Out of the Board-Cashbox will be paid everything we eat or drink on board. Important: The Board-Cashbox will be not handled by the skipper, but by one of the Crew. We’ll set up the Board-Cashbox before departure. In case the Board-Cashbox get’s empty during the trip every member of the crew will pay the same amount in. For kids below 10 yo will be paid 50% of the adult-share. At the beginning of the trip everyone -also the skipper couple- pays 100 € into the Board-Cashbox, but the experience shows that it’s best (and to save some valuable time) that the skippers do the first "provisioning" for a couple of days and keep the receipts for later checking.
After the trip the balance will be paid back to each crew, but have to calculate also the expenses for fuel and drinking water. (We'll use the engine only very seldom and it's a very economical one with less then 25 Liter per hour. Remember fuel cost here at the moment just 50 Cents per Liter!)

Check - in - Check - out
Friday (other days on request and as per booking) up from noon welcome on board and a full safety briefing and boat-familiarization at the start of our cruise: Cabins, lights, toilets, water tanks, safety equipment, etc. Then setup of the Cashbox and cruise plan discussion. If the skipper think it’s necessary he’ll teach also some knots for fender and ropes.
An early check in on board is not possible because the boat has to be cleaned from the former cruise, but ........ maybe. In case guest arrive early, they could store their luggage on deck till check in.
In case some Crew (guest) arrives earlier we might be able to help with accommodation for one or two nights before departure. Next Thursday we are back in the Benoa harbour. The guest could still stay this night on board, but the next morning at 09:00 am the boat has to be empty and ready for the final cleaning.
Luggage could be stored on deck until departure.
(All-in-All: we are very flexible with departure times and always find a way to help our guest!)
